We had our second visit with the obstetrician yesterday, and learned that Julie will be 14 weeks along on Friday. She lost a tiny bit of weight since the last visit (which is actually a good thing), and everything continues to be normal. The doctor also assured us (as did Dr. Mom :) that Julie's little mishap should not have hurt the baby in any way.
The best part was when they used a small ultrasonic device to listen for the baby's heart! To hear the swish, swish, swish of our precious little baby's lifebeat was a surreal. It was beating very fast, which is normal, and confirmed that it's still developing as it should. How exciting!
