We woke up yesterday morning with the bright idea to go to Grand Beach for the afternoon in celebration of the last day of summer.

So did a lot of other people.

Can you spot Carol and Shiloh in this picture?

None of us particularly relished the thought of sharing the beach with thousands of other people, so we got back in the car and drove a few miles further south to Patricia Beach. There were people there, too, but it didn't have the same Lemming Migration kind of feel as Grand Beach did.

I think Shiloh liked this beach better, too.
