Even from the beginning, Ella has made it abundantly clear that she does not care to go on her stomach. After giving the matter quite a lot of considered thought today, though, she apparently managed to develop a strategy to avoid the dreaded tummy-time altogether. When I stuck her in the crib this evening on her stomach for a few more minutes of play before bedtime, she stretched out her legs very matter-of-factly and flipped herself over -- and then shot me a delighted "Nanny nanny boo-boo" smile to boot. I guess tummy time will now have to be closely supervised to make sure it's actually spent on her tummy.
